Mixed-Media Drawings

Drawing on location in the landscape is an important part of my artistic practice, and I'm pleased to offer a selection of my mixed-media drawings to the public for the first time.

These relatively large-scale drawings - each filling an A3 sheet of heavyweight drawing paper - are all produced out in the landscape and are an attempt to capture the energy and atmosphere of that place through rapid, instinctive mark-making. Wind and rain can also sometimes contribute to the drawings, with the weather making its own marks on the page alongside my pencils and inks.

Each drawing is sold unframed (with a protective sleeve and backing board). I can arrange framing for an additional fee, and would be very happy to discuss options with you.
